My clients recently moved into their home. As they were moving in they noticed the hot water tank was not working. They called customer service and were able to get someone out within a couple hours. There was a bit of confusion and high emotions but T** our sales rep stepped in and made the rest of the transaction smooth. He personally checked to make sure everything was taken care of and went above and beyond with his service. These guys are great. I have used them for over 5 years and they cover everything including some plumbing and electric. In 5 years the only thing that they haven\'t covered was my washing machine because the tumbler was rusted out which was clearly stated in the contract. These guys have saved me thousands of dollars over the years and Steve Rodriguez out of corporate couldn\'t be any nicer or helpful. Best of all if you tell them you want to use your own vendors they are more than happy to oblige as long as you call Global and let them to speak to the vendor before starting and once a diagnosis is given.

We purchased a home and the buyer provided this warranty. Within the year both upstairs and downstairs A/C units had failures - condenser coils need replacing in both. (Not surprising given the age of the units.) Our chosen service provider gave us an estimate and then spoke with the warranty company rep directly (after I opened the claims). After the installation, we received a full reimbursement, minus the deductibles. The customer service agents were very professional, too.

I got the home warranty for free from my lender. When I bought my house in June. I didn’t think I’d ever use it. But when my toilet was leaking into the basement. I gave them a call. I had read the reviews first in curiosity and was scared by the bad reviews. But I figured why not give it a shot. So I called them on a Sunday night. And they said they would have someone get back to me the next day. They took down my information. I wasn’t expecting a call so quick but Monday morning I got a call. I was at work so I gave him a call back that afternoon. They said they would look for a plumber near me to do the work. They gave me the option to call find my own. The worker from the warranty company was super nice. But I said you guys go ahead and try and find something. The next day I got a call from a plumber who the warranty company hired. The only thing he couldn’t get me in until the next week. But that was fine as I have a second bathroom. The plumber just left today. everything was covered by the warranty company. And I just had to pay 75 bucks and my toilet is fixed. Without warranty he said would have been $270 some. So I want to leave a good review it to let you know it does work. I think as long as you’re not trying to do something that was pre-existing.

Global Home Warranty handled my 1st claim with them extremely Fast and Efficiently. GHW got back to me within 90 minutes, had Service Provider set-up within 2 hours and Repair was handled within 7 hours of initial call to GHW! Exceptional Service in my opinion! All biling, with the exception of the modest deductible, was all between GHW & the provider. Easy, Quick & Satisifying!

Please note - 90% of the population that writes reviews online usually have bad experiences. I mean who writes in the taco bell saying "My soft taco was delicious" - Generally most people would only write when "The guy at the counter screwed up my order three times and over charged me for food I didn't order" - So please take some reviews with a grain of salt as they say. The company here wouldn't be in business if it was really as bad as every comment says. I recently had purchased this warranty from this company and have filed about 1 major claim and 2 minor claims in the last 6 months for my home. Everything with this company has been fantastic. With that being said I read many of these poor reviews I wish to clear some things up that are being Misconstrued from my experiences with the company. The company at no time has EVER asked me to pay the claim/repair outright and submit paperwork to see "if" it was going to be repaired. I say this because when my AC unit went out they said it would be 8 business hours to find and get the paperwork to a provider. Then to have them contact me to schedule a appointment to inspect my AC unit. This however was Friday night and business hours mean Monday through Friday 7-4 for this company. So I said that seems a little slow and its really hot and they said at any time I always have the right to find my own AC provider as long as they are licensed and insured and call them myself and schedule a appointment. They then instructed that IF I do find my own provider that I will have to have the provider contact the claims department BEFORE any repairs are made to the unit to see if the unit is eligible for coverage. I said okay and found my own provider he called during the inspection and his phone call was received after hours and the agent was able to approve the repair on the unit and I had working AC the next night before bed. Last note I want to address on this is during my other minor claim of a washer machine motor leaking. I had to pay the repairman for the motor replacement in full at the time of the fix after the warranty company said it would be covered. I was instructed that after I pay the company the full amount with a receipt of payment fax it to their company to have it processed for reimbursement. - I called 24 hours after faxing to insure they got the paperwork. Was greeted very politely and was informed that the paperwork was received and was sent to their reimbursement department. they will process the payment and I should receive a check within 30 days. I waited and about 16 days later I got my check in the mail. Didn't have to call multiple times or anything. Each time I have ever called the company I have never had any customer friendliness issues. they always treated me the best they can given the circumstances of the call I was making and understood my urgency. I will continue to renew my contact with my home warranty for many years to come. To be straight forward with anyone reading all this. The warranty is straight forward. Read your contact. Understand it. Follow the procedures and they will take care of you. Thanks Maxwell

My husband and I purchased our first home last year and had Global Home USA's warranty written into the contract. Even though most of the appliances that came with the house were older (that was the main reason we wanted the warranty), none of them had any catastrophic failures until a couple months ago, when the the control panel in our stove began to malfunction. My husband called the company and got the same kind of run-around that everyone else on this review board has had trouble with. We were pretty sure we had been duped and were only fortunate because we hadn't actually been the ones to pay for the warranty - the seller did. Ironically, we got a renewal notice from Global during same period that we were trying to make our claim... However, in spite of all this, my review is not a negative review, in fact, based on what happened in the end, I may even be inclined to have Global warranties on every other home I purchase in the future, if the appliances are not brand new. My husband ended up calling the president of the company, who handled our claim himself. We chose to purchase a new stove rather than have the older one repaired, and Keys off set our expense by reimbursing us for the cost of parts and labor to have repaired the old stove. I agree with everyone else here that the customer service department is the worst I have ever dealt with - with maybe an exception for Bank of America a couple of years ago...but ultimately, the company honored their product, and we are satisfied customer. We got what we believed was fair compensation for our claim, and are not trying to "get something for nothing" as I'm sure many of the naysayers are complaining about. Also, anyone who might be doing their homework before they purchase a warranty, or may be trying to start their claim themselves, remember that most people who take the time to post reviews do so because they have had a bad experience. My own experience was resolved nearly a month ago, and because I was happy with the outcome, it was too easy for me to forget to post a review until now. If you are having trouble with your claim right now, my advice is to take it to the top, and be professional, but relentless, and have your documentation in order.View less

I received this warranty when I purchased my 9 year old home. I used it this year for three separate repairs on my boiler and once on my air conditioning unit. The first two times I requested a company and had to pay out of pocket but was reimbursed the full amount minus my $75.00 deductible. The next two times Global sent their own contractors which were excellent. It was easier because the contractor was willing to go through the phone interrogation regarding the problem whereas the contractors I had, didn't have the patience. All of my problems occurred late night and they gave me approval to get someone right away and pay the late night fee (I had no heat during the winter). The customer service is an answering machine so you have to wait for someone to call you back. The negative - I used the warranty four times for at least $3000.00 so they are not willing to renew. I am bummed because I have had nothing but a great experience and I am reading all other warranty company reviews and afraid I will pick a lousy one. I strongly recommend Global Home USA/Warranty Global Group.View less
