I just wanted to give an actual positive review to give people some hope! I bought a F********* electric dryer back in 2017 and bought the protection plan. I have had continual problems with the same part (control panel). Over the years I had the part replaced 3 times. Last month the dryer broke again. Same issue. The part was not available and no time frame on when it would be. Long story short I actually got a gift card with my full purchase price plus tax back. I was shocked. Again, it was not an easy process and took many phone calls and "escalation" but I did want to share that on occasion they do pay.

Bought 5 year for Samsung refrigerator. The ice maker frequently froze up. Home depot arranged a serviceman to repair. Coming to end of 5 years ice maker froze up again. A call to asurion telling them the refrigerator was a lemon. First call not satisfying which lead to second call going up the supervisor ladder. On that call I requested to speak to their supervisor. Throughout this process of filing a claim I was never confident of a successful outcome. A few days later supervisor #3 called me back. She gathered the details of all the repairs over the five years. She suggested I would receive a positive outcome. Two or three weeks later after receiving many calls asking if I received a check a check was received for the full purchase price $2,714. Because of all the negative reviews I never thought I would receive a check. Not only did I receive a check I kept the refrigerator. In some instances with other warranty plans the refrigerator is picked up. I don’t know how I was so lucky. Given my experience with this home depot warranty plan with asurion I give a rating of 5 star.

I\'m still middle of the road on this company. On June 24th LG fridge threw a error code. reset power and cleared the error but came back the next day. requested service for 2 days later (today, Wednesday). No call, nothing Today the 27th and called again. I call the number from the email confirmation and got a person 80 miles away. Contacted HD protection plan department and they said the case was assigned and I\'d be getting a courtesy call. That was at 8:30 AM. Now it\'s 10:30. I\'m losing food quickly and I just stocked up from Costco. I will update my rating. Fridge has been good so far. Funny thing is the error is known and points to the fridge defrost system. Freezer works ok just no cold air blowing in the top of the fridge compartment. Also meat draw, at the bottom of the compartment things are frozen. I know it\'s only a few days but this is not looking good for any response.

I was fearful when I read the reviews for Home Depot Protection service as well as their local service provider Atlantic Appliance Service Repair. People complained about no communication, no shows, and shoddy work. I did not experience any of that. We were always kept informed and coordination between Home Depot/Assurion and Atlantic was very good. We needed our 1 and 1/2 year old refrigerator repaired under our extended warranty. The overall length of time to repair was a little longer then we wanted, but that is the process with extended protection plans. They even processed our request for spoiled food reimbursement in less then one week. If I didn\'t have this plan I would have had a repair in excess of $500 due to two boards malfunctioning, so in my case, it was definitely worth the investment
